How AI works on CVBoost
CVBoost uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse and improve text you upload yourself. This page explains what happens to your data and what to consider before using the output.
What the service does
AI compares your CV with a job posting (CV & Letter and CV Match), suggests rewrites (CV Booster, tailored CV), or compares CV with a LinkedIn PDF (members). You use a web service — not a human recruiter.
What is sent to AI
Text from your CV (PDF or pasted text), job ad text (or a URL we fetch), optional keywords/hashtags, and — with an account — optional industry preference for tone/terminology. This is sent to an external AI provider to generate responses for you.
What is usually not stored
Without an account, your CV and ad are generally processed only for the current run and not stored permanently for that guest session. With an account we store what is needed to sign you in and remember settings — see the GDPR page.
Sub-processors (AI and operations)
Depending on feature and configuration, data may be shared with:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT) — text analysis and generation when that model is used
- Anthropic (Claude) — text analysis and generation when that model is used
- Google reCAPTCHA — protection against automated abuse in forms (when enabled)
- Email provider — sign-in codes and optional delivery of results to your inbox
- Web hosting / operations — technical operation of cvboost.se
Providers may operate outside the EU/EEA. We use agreements aimed at GDPR-level protection (e.g. processor terms and standard contractual clauses where required). The list may be updated; questions: info@cvboost.se.
Limitations
AI can be wrong, miss nuance, or overstate fit. Match scores and suggestions are guidance — not a guarantee of interview or employment. The service is not legal, career, or recruitment advice.
Your responsibility
You must review all AI-generated content before use. Do not create false credentials. Consider a redacted CV (no name, address, phone, or email in the file) to limit personal data sent.
